The role provides strategic analysis to support and challenge our stakeholders in making the right decisions for our growing organisation. We are a critical friend to the organisation, ensuring that we are maximizing the impact of our income and expenditure for our social mission.
The focus of this role will be budgeting, forecasting and management reporting as well as representing our team in organisation wide projects and driving consistent improvements in processes to add value to Teach First.
You will be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience and familiar in business partnering roles. The ability to convey complex issues with clarity and confidence is also essential as is communication skills with stakeholders through active listening and effective questioning.

Morgan law are working exclusively with the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama for the recruitment of an Accounts Receivable Supervisor.
Reporting into the Head of Finance and managing a credit controller, your responsibilities will include:
To be responsible for the accurate maintenance of the Student Billing module in the finance accounting system.
Manage and maintain an accurate debtor control record, adjusting student fee records to ensure that students have been correctly billed by raising invoices and credit notes accordingly.
* Ensure School fees are paid in line with agreed deadlines and liaise with students to resolve payment queries including setting up individual payments plans in a speedy, accurate and professional manner.
* Provide analysis of tuition fee income and provide information to management for monthly, quarterly, end of year financial reporting and periodic reconciliation purposes.
* Develop and manage communications plan for students regarding payment dates and methods of payment.
* Oversee the Sales Ledger, raising all invoices and credit notes for other income streams including Student Support Services, Short Courses, Research and other departments.
* Send accurate monthly statements to students/customers.
* Produce monthly sales ledger analysis including aged debtor report.
* To maintain accurate and appropriate credit control procedures in line with the school policy and proactively manage the collection of all outstanding debts.
* Advise Head of Finance regarding potential bad debt risk and adequacy of bad debt provision

Finance Manager

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations you will provide operational management of the finance department of the school, ensuring accurate financial reporting, appropriate financial controls are in place, that cash is managed prudently and that the department provides timely and relevant support to the business
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage the finance team and the day to day running of the Finance Department to support the operation of the Prep and Senior School and subsidiary companies.
- Prepare management accounts, including balance sheet for the School and its subsidiaries each month showing the financial performance and position of each entity compared with budget, and produce a concise commentary on variances and other matters of significance and review with the DFO
- Providing information for the DFO and Finance and Council meetings as required
- With the DFO, prepare annual budgets for review
- Manage the annual audit and prepare audit files for submission by required date and manage the audit onsite field work team
- Prepare the annual Statement of Financial Activities and Balance Sheets for the School and its enterprise and international companies
- Assist DFO in preparation of annual Directors' Report
- Prepare monthly cash statements and aged debtor analyses
- Prepare cash flow statements each term
- Ensure the fixed asset register is maintained and depreciation calculated accurately
- Ensure that all intercompany transactions are properly reflected in the accounts of each company and in the consolidated financial statements of the School
- Prepare group VAT returns for the School's and subsidiaries and monitor non-VATable transactions for the Charity in respect of registration requirements
- Reverse VAT charges for overseas agents
- Liaise with VAT consultant where necessary
- Corporation Tax Returns for trading subsidiaries in conjunction with advisor
- Reconcile bank accounts for restricted funds and analysis of fund market values and ensure all other bank accounts are reconciled monthly (fees and operating accounts)
- Reconciliation (and supervision) of all major nominal ledger control accounts
- Liaising with overseas partner schools re income and payments

The client is looking for a Qualified Accountant, preferably with a charity sector background.
The charity has income of Approx £11million which is a mixture of Restricted and Non-Restricted.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will be:
To ensure effective support and delivery of organisational objectives, theis position plays a critical role in maintaining an efficient month end, ensuring accurate financial data, preparation of financial reports, carrying out the annual/audit process.
* Coordinate with country offices to consolidate financial data and ensure consistency, accuracy and transparency of financial reporting.
* Operating a smooth and disciplined month end with all balance sheet accounts reconciled and full monthly management pack and management accounts submitted to the Global Head of Finance.
* Preparation of full management accounts, analysis and presentation of accurate financial reports, including income/expenditure statements, balance sheet, cash flow statements, KPIs and forecasting.
* Monitor budgets, track expenditure, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Provide guidance and support to budget holders in budget development, cost control, and financial accountability.
* Coordinate with the Finance Business Partners to prepare/review restricted donor financial reports, ensuring the data reflects the records on the accounting system and meets donor compliance.
* Work with the Head of Global Finance to prepare the financial statements and manage the year end audit process/relationship.
* Work closely with the Head of Global Finance to support the annual budget process including interim forecasts and cash flows.

I am urgently seeking an experienced AD of People,Equity & Culture to cover a 10 to 12 month period of maternity leave at a renowned Charity based in East London, to start ASAP. The role will pay a salary in the range of £75,000 to £80,000 per year on a fixed term contract and will involve hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office and 3 days per week working remotely.
Reporting to the Director of Resources, you will have strategic oversight of a team of 24, including 5 direct reports in People, OD, Talent, Equity and Quality & Safeguarding. You will manage all operational HR related activities relating to the people aspects of the Transformation Programme including restructuring, employment consultations and dealing with trade unions.
As an experienced HR professional, you will lead and operationally manage our programme of redeployment, helping with job redesign, any voluntary and compulsory redundancies and dealing with required people transition planning. You will be highly organised and efficient at managing and communicating all aspects of the employee consultation process providing support and guidance to those affected by redundancies, whilst overseeing all the associated correspondence. Ideally you will have worked in unionised environment before and will help maintain good relationships with trade unions throughout this period.
